Frequently asked questions
Quick answers on UV protection, shipping, and returns.
Do kids really need sunglasses with UV protection?
Yes. Children's eyes let in more UV light than adults' do, and sun damage adds up over a lifetime. Every pair of Sun-Kissed kids' sunglasses has UV400, optician-certified lenses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays. That's real protection, not just a dark tint.
What does UV400 (and "optician certified") actually mean?
UV400 means the lenses block all light up to 400 nanometres, which covers 100% of harmful UVA and UVB. Also, all lenses are “Optician certified, " which means an optician has independently checked the lenses for that protection and for optical quality, so you're not relying on the label alone.
Are these sunglasses really unbreakable?
They're built for real childhood. The flexible TPEE frames bend instead of snapping, so they survive drops, throws and the bottom of a school bag. We say practically unbreakable because kids are endlessly creative, but the frames are made to take the strike.
How do I choose the right size for my child?
We keep it simple with age-based categories instead of fiddly measurements: Baby (0–2), Toddler (2–4), Kids (4–8), and Tweens & Teens (8–14). Just shop your child's age band for a comfortable, secure fit.
